Ricky had this past week, prior to the new year, off, so we made a road trip to see Lauren, Jeff, Will, and Anna in Cleveland. We even brought Chevy on his first five-hour-long car ride (the longest he'd ever been on before was just to the cottage and back).

When we got home, we went over to Kristin and Breana's house in downtown G.R. for dinner and some fun games. I'm so glad we got to see Jared and Lissa twice while they were home!!

Also, who doesn't love the dead duck?)We played the game Presidents and A-Holes (naughty, naughty), which was a hoot. For future reference, don't play that game with wine. It's bad.

Jaime with "the hat"Last night (NYE), we went out to dinner at a yummy Mexican restaurant that's downtown Rockford called Cinco De Mayo. It was delicious!! Then, we had some friends come over for a very low-key New Year's Eve party.
Once again, we played Presidents and A-Holes... this time we could substitute water for wine if we needed to. Thank goodness.
